As principal of Harriman Middle School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. We are all excited to have students back in our classroom and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. It is our mission to help every student feel welcomed, connected, and a part of our HMS family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities and to be high school ready by the end of three years. At Harriman Middle, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage students in learning. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. We believe that all students have the potential to become academic leaders and effective citizens.
We hope that you will explore our school’s website. It is our desire for it to be a helpful and informative way for you to stay connected to your child’s learning. Every teacher has an individual website that contains weekly lesson plans and activities. We also post all announcements and upcoming events on the online calendar. Additionally, we have started a Facebook page that we will use to send out updates and quick announcements as we go through the year.
I am honored to serve as the principal of Harriman Middle School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.
